Make Your First Visit a Positive Experience
Download the church address to your smartphone: 10515 269th Stree East, Graham, WA. Once you arrive, you will see a few parking spots reserved for visitors. If you wish, you may drive through the covered entrance and drop off others before parking. We also have spaces reserved for people with handicapped parking permits.
Typically, someone is there to open the door and welcome you to Living Word. After a few introductions, an usher will hand you the "Order of Service," which will be used during worship. You will also be offered a copy of the Lifeline, our weekly news bulletin, and a visitor's welcome packet.
If you have small children, ask about the nursery. Of course, children are always welcome in worship, but if you are more comfortable with them in the nursery, you will know where to take them if you decide to use the nursery.
Sit anywhere you wish in the sanctuary. And do not worry that you might be taking someone else's seat! While you wait for worship to start, read the front page of the "Order of Service." It has a special message for first-time visitors.
We hope you will join us for coffee fellowship immediately following the service. This is where we get to know each other beyond the cursory "How are you?" conversations.
Finally, if you would like someone to shepherd you through your first visit, let us know via email ([email protected]) or by phone (253-846-1276) that you are coming. We want to do whatever it takes to ensure you are comfortable at Living Word.

Services usually run 60-75 minutes. They've been known to run up to and hour and half when there are special activities happening.
Our services generally follow a liturgy and include congregational singing with piano, choir anthems, a children's sermon, the pastor's sermon, and holy communion. We try to make our services easy for everyone to follow. Most of what you will say, sing, or do will be clear from the bulletin or program you receive when you arrive. Attendees enjoy a time of fellowship with refreshments following the service and may attend a Bible study or children's Sunday school when they are offered.
You can sample a worship service by going to our YouTube Channel. It is a great way to hear the heart of our pastor and prepare yourself for the experience.
Wear whatever will make you most comfortable. You will see worship attendees wearing everything from suits and ties to jeans and casual shirts.
We love having children at worship and often have a brief children's message during the service. But, we also understand that sometimes parents appreciate having an option. For that reason, we have a nursery available during the church service.
During the pandemic, Sunday school was a mid-week activity conducted via Zoom. We expect to offer in-person Sunday school again in the near future.
